Kate Jordahl is an amazing photographer. I was lucky to attend her class on alternative photography many years ago and see much of her gorgeous work at PhotoCentral when she was living and teacching in California. I love the one poem books she made as a small series of six and decided to bind them together in one book. All the photography is B&W and the binding tries to respect the apparent simplicity of the meditative journey these one poem books inspire. As a nod to Kate's remarkable knowledge of photography, both end sheets have a tiny pin hole, a reminder of the early days of photography and a nudge to pause and contemplate.
